Who we are

Slothware Pte. Ltd. operates TickerTown. We are the controller of the personal data that this Policy describes. It covers the TickerTown game and its website at tickertown.ai, and it sits beside our Terms of Service.

What we collect

We collect the following personal data.

  • Account data: your email address, your display name and your avatar choice, and the sign-in sessions we create for you, with the IP address and browser details of each.
  • Game data: the strategies you build, your backtests, your simulated orders and holdings, your results, your rank, and your referrals and invitations.
  • Messages you send to Moon, our in-game guide, and the replies you get.
  • Bug reports and other feedback that you send us.
  • Usage data: the pages you view and the actions you take in the game, with your device, browser and approximate location from your IP address.
  • Payment data, if you buy TickerTown PRO: your plan, billing period and payment status. Stripe collects your card details. TickerTown does not store your card number.
  • Waitlist data: the email address you give on the TickerTown website to hear about access.

Why we use it

  • To run TickerTown, sign you in and keep your game progress.
  • To send the sign-in codes, briefings and notices that your account needs.
  • To take payment for PRO and to manage your subscription.
  • To answer your messages and requests, and to fix bugs.
  • To understand how people use the game, and to improve it.
  • To keep TickerTown secure and to prevent abuse.
  • To meet our legal duties.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use it to show you third-party advertising.

Who receives it

We share personal data with the outside services below, only as far as each needs it to do its job for us.

  • Stripe processes payments and subscriptions for TickerTown PRO.
  • Resend sends our email, such as sign-in codes and briefings.
  • PostHog records product analytics and receives the bug reports you send from the game.
  • Sentry receives error reports from the game, which can include technical details.
  • OpenRouter routes the messages you send to Moon, and other text we ask a language model to write, to the model providers that answer them.
  • Neon hosts the database that holds your account and game data.
  • Vercel hosts the game and the website.
  • Google holds the waitlist, which is a spreadsheet that receives the email address you give on the website.

We may also disclose personal data when the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or in a sale or merger of our business. Some of these services process data outside Singapore. Where they do, we rely on their contracts and safeguards to protect it.

How long we keep it

We keep your personal data while your account is open, and for as long after that as we need it to meet our legal duties, settle disputes and enforce our Terms. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data, except what the law requires us to keep, such as payment records.

Your rights and data requests

You may ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, to withdraw a consent you gave, or to ask a question about how we handle it. To make a request, email willis@slothware.io from the address on your account. We may ask you to confirm who you are, and we answer within a reasonable time. You may also complain to the data protection authority where you live.

Cookies and similar technology

TickerTown uses cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and to remember your settings. Our analytics service uses them to tell one visit from another. We do not record your screen. You can clear or block cookies in your browser, but the game may not work without the ones that keep you signed in.

Children

TickerTown is not for anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from a child. If you think a child gave us personal data, email us and we will delete it.

Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy. We will post the new version on this page with a new date. For a material change we will also tell signed-in players by email or in the game.

Governing law

The laws of Singapore govern this Policy. This does not limit any right that the data protection law of your country gives you.
